I hope you’ve all had a lovely Easter – I have.
As well as the religious importance of Easter, it’s so nice to have the lovely long weekend for rest, rejuvenation or roaming around – whatever it is that floats your boat!
I combined all 3 in my Easter break, together with lots of lovely chocolate! 🙂
I’m looking to relocate in the near future, so I’ve had a few days away, getting acquainted with some different areas in the next county along.
You may know that one of my big goals is to build my next home.
This is a long-term dream of mine.
It’s one that just won’t go away…
It tugs at my sleeve and lets me know that its pull, though illogical in many ways, is still as strong as ever.
My perfect dream home requires a perfect dream plot, so my trip was primarily to do some scouting.
Whilst I was away there was the most beautiful full moon.
It completely illuminated the night sky.
I interpret the full moon as a time for us to see clearly and for our dreams to come true, so I took it as a good omen for my search 🙂
I have always loved all things astrological.
I find it absolutely fascinating.
Astrologers believe that the sign the sun was positioned in when you were born reveals your character.
You may not realise that astrologers also take into account the position of the moon (and certain other planets) at the time of your birth, to reveal deeper aspects of your character.
Even if you don’t believe in astrology, most people usually know what their star (sun) sign is.
But very few people know what their moon sign is.
Your sun sign represents the outer you, or the way you present yourself to the world, your moon sign describes the inner or real you.
If you’d like to know what your moon sign is, you can find out here.
In my very first session with a new client I go through and complete my intake form with them.
One of the first questions I ask is when their date of birth is.
From their date of birth I can calculate their zodiac (sun) sign.
Initially I wanted to see if my clients “element” held any clues to their personality.
I kept this quite light-hearted and just a bit of fun.
But hundreds and hundreds of clients later, I now see it as quite an accurate indicator of their character traits.
I obviously don’t pigeonhole a client based on their zodiac sign, if it doesn’t fit it doesn’t fit, but I’m astounded at just how often it does fit.
When it doesn’t fit, I sometimes calculate their moon sign instead.
If they are not typical of their sun element, they are almost always typical of their moon element.
It’s uncanny!
Clients are often flabbergasted at just how quickly I get to know them and their character/personality.
Why do I keep referring to elements rather than signs?
Because the elements are more encompassing.
There are four astrological elements.
Water, Earth, Fire and Air.
The Water Element – Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio
People born under the Water element are often sensitive, deep and emotional.
This may not always be obvious at first, but it’s most certainly there, once we scratch the surface.
The Earth Element – Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo
People born under the Earth element are often practical, grounded and down to earth.
They like to do the right thing and are hard-working and straight forward.
The Fire Element – Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
People born under the Fire element are strong, forthright and tenacious (stubborn :)).
They are the confident, fiery leaders of the zodiac.
The Air Element – Aquarius, Gemini, Libra
People born under the Air element are the thinkers, they are intellectual and communicative.
They are often light-hearted and have a great sense of humour/fun.
I know my Air elements like to keep things light, they don’t often like to go too deep.
Whereas my Water elements need to go deep to make sense of their deep emotions.
My Fire elements like to utilise their fiery strength and natural leadership to solve their problems.
And my Earthy types like to work out practical, logical solutions that work for everyone concerned.
As well as the astrological elements, another thing I use to understand and communicate with my clients is NLP.
NLP or Neuro Linguisitic Processing teaches us that different people communicate and process information in different ways.
We all have a preferred method – we are either visual, auditory or kinaesthetic.
Some people are a combination.
Visual people (60% of the population) like to write things down and/or visualise them for them to make sense.
They will often use phrases like “I see what you mean”.
I encourage these clients to journal in our sessions and I use language with lots of visual imagery.
Auditory people (20% of the population) do best by listening; they rely on hearing and speaking to process information.
They will often use phrases like “I hear where you’re coming from”.
I’ll often encourage these clients to close their eyes and focus on the sound of my voice or the sounds of what it is they’re striving for.
Kinaesthetic people (also 20% of the population) are the slowest to process information, because they have to get a feel for it.
They will often use phrases like “I feel better about everything now”.
They often use a lot of hand gestures and move around a lot more in their seat.
I mirror them by being more animated myself – that way my words “land” and hit home more.
This is very natural for me as I’m a kinaesthetic too.
Many of my Lovelies are also kinaesthetic. They are the super-feelers.
Which one do you think you are?
Clearly, ever client is unique and individual and I treat them that way, but if we can find a short cut that works, let’s use it.
The better I understand my client, the better the outcome of our time together.
I always want my clients to get the best outcome possible, so I adapt my coaching to their way of being.
That way they feel heard and understood and they resonate more deeply with the coaching.
Nelson Mandela said:-
“If you talk to a man in a language he understands that will go to his head. If you talk to him in his language that goes to his heart”
I’m aiming for your heart every time, so I’ll always talk to you in your language.
Are you ready to be heard, understood and guided in a way you’ve never experienced before?
Then book a call.
Don’t spend another minute suffering, if you don’t have to.
Much Love
Christina xx
P.S. If you’ve got a plot for sale in North Yorkshire, please let me know. You could make a girl’s dream come true 🙂
