I attended my first mind, body, spirit fair this weekend.
It was full of stalls selling crystals, tarot cards, broomsticks (yes) and other similar things.
Some people were dressed like witches and some like warlocks, or was it wizards?
I couldn’t be sure!
I’d only popped in to catch up with an old friend of mine who was exhibiting there.
My friend isn’t a witch or a wizard; she’s a bona-fide therapist.
I had emotion-release therapy with her many years ago.
My professional association insists that I attend therapy every few years to have a good mental clear out.
I didn’t particularly feel like I needed any therapy at the time, but I do like to try new things so I decided to give her a whirl.
We got on like a house on fire from the off and in the 10 sessions that followed, she released 231 trapped emotions!
231? – How can I be so precise about the number?
Because I wrote them all down – all 231 of them!
Her therapy used muscle testing and magnets, so it was a bit quirky I must admit, but very impressive.
We’ve been firm friends ever since.
Why do negative emotions become trapped in our minds and bodies in the first place?
Well emotions are just energy in motion.
They move through our energy meridians.
Channels that weave all over our body, like veins and arteries.
Positive emotions move really quickly – that’s why our bodies laugh – because they can’t keep the joy in.
I always think this is such a lovely thought 🙂
Negative emotions move much slower.
They are heavier and denser so can often become trapped.
They can even cause bottlenecks for further negative emotions to become backed up.
When they get stuck or trapped they bog us down, hold us back and really don’t make us feel good.
Those bad feelings will keep resurfacing over and over again, until they’re released or worked on.
Even when our situation or environment improves, the bad/sad/low feelings will persist, if we don’t deal with them.
They have to…they’re trapped.
Time doesn’t always heal.
This is why history often repeats itself when it comes to relationships or work wobbles.
We get stuck in a never-ending loop…never learning the lesson that those emotions are trying to teach us.
For these reasons, it’s important for us to carry out some kind of therapy and/or emotional hygiene.
My friend was busy when I arrived, so I decided to have a wander around and check out some of the talks and therapies on offer.
I noticed that a session was about to start where I could be hypnotised to meet my higher self.
That was right up my street, so I walked into the hypnosis room and sat down right in the middle of the front row.
The hypnotist was dressed in a wizard’s cloak…and it all felt very mystical.
Although the lady was very nice, I thought to myself, this couldn’t be more different to me and my therapy room.
My room is light, calm and comfortable with soft reclining chairs and lots of cushions.
I wear a business dress.
And there isn’t a cloak or a crystal in sight.
I do have a few crystals, but I don’t display them, as I think it would put many of my clients off.
Most people consider hypnotherapy to already be very woo-woo, without the witch element thrown in too.
I settled myself in and closed my eyes.
It was so nice to be hypnotised by someone else.
Good hypnosis makes you the most relaxed you’ll ever be awake.
I self-hypnotise a lot, but always go much deeper when guided by someone else.
I found it fascinating to meet with my higher self.
I felt quite emotional, but in a really positive, uplifting way.
And it was nice for me to be on the receiving end for a change 🙂
Whether you consider yourself spiritual or not, we all have a higher self.
It’s what our subconscious minds deem to be the very best version of ourselves.
Always remember your subconscious mind knows absolutely EVERYTHING about you.
Would you like to be hypnotised to meet your higher self, or the very best version of you?
I do my own version of this with all my clients.
It’s a really beautiful experience.
Our subconscious mind (which is what we speak to in hypnosis) gives us much richer, deeper visions than our conscious minds ever can.
Back to the fair…and fresh from my hypnosis I was eager to see what else was on offer.
I came across a therapy I’d never heard of before – Access Bars.
Access Bars are 32 points on your head that when gently touched, effortlessly and easily release the thoughts, ideas, beliefs, emotions, and considerations that stop you from creating a life you love.
That’s what it claimed anyway!
Again, that sounded right up my street, so I signed up for a taster session.
I have to say for a Physical Touch person like me it was divine.
I’m not sure how much stuff I released, but it felt really lovely 🙂
Like a very nice, gentle head massage.
The therapist was also a reiki master, so her energy was wonderful.
I was super chilled afterwards.
I’d definitely recommend it if this resonates with you.
I had a lovely afternoon.
I positively floated home.
I’m not sure I would attend another mind, body, spirit fair, but I’ll never say never!
I mention 3 different therapies here that release trapped emotions.
Emotion code therapy, Hypnotherapy and Access Bars therapy.
If you would like to give Emotion code or Access Bars a try let me know and I’ll put you in touch with my therapists.
There are many, many other therapies – far too many for me to go into detail on in this blog.
If you’ve never had any kind of emotional release therapy and you’re intrigued, please explore some of the following therapies I’m going to list.
Anything that speaks to you…
Many of them can be done remotely by Zoom (including hypnotherapy).

None of us go through life without experiencing some negative emotions…its impossible, we’re human!
And the more sensitive we are, the deeper we will feel them.
So it’s imperative to keep up some kind of emotional cleansing if you want to feel emotionally well throughout your life.
This is not a one and done. It’s a life time thing, like cleaning the kitchen!
I recommend either finding a therapy that you Love and can have regularly, or try a few different ones and do them on a rotation basis.
That’s what I do.
Your mind, body and spirit will really thank you for it.
That’s it for this week.
Happy cleansing.
Much Love
Christina xx
